Privacy Statement for CruiseLegend and the Sea & Shore app.

Privacy on the internet should be respected at all times. This privacy statement provides an overview of how CruiseLegend™ respects personal information.

At CruiseLegend, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Statement outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our website CruiseLegend and/or app Sea & Shore.

 

PRIVACY STATEMENT

Article 1. Personal data processed by CruiseLegend

CruiseLegend processes your personal data for the execution of the agreement when you use our services. The personal data we process:
a) First and last name
b) Address details
c) Telephone number
d) Email address
e) Financial data such as bank account number and company details (when applicable)
f) Other personal data that you actively provide in email or telephone correspondence

Article 2. Purposes and bases of processing

2.1 Our starting point is that we do not process more personal data than necessary for the described purposes. CruiseLegend processes your personal data only for well-defined, expressly described, and legitimate purposes. Your personal data will not be processed further without your consent for a purpose that is not compatible with this. CruiseLegend processes your personal data for the following purposes:
a) Issuing a quotation.
b) Delivering the purchased service.
c) To call or email you if necessary to carry out the service or preliminary process.
d) To inform you through a newsletter or about changes in services and products.
e) Handling your payment.
f) To comply with legal obligations (for example, tax filings).

2.2 CruiseLegend processes your personal data only based on at least one of the following legal grounds:
a) You have given consent for the processing of your personal data.
b) The processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party.
c) The processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation that rests on us.
d) The processing is necessary to protect the legitimate interests of us, except when the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data, outweigh those interests.

Article 3. Automated decision-making

CruiseLegend does not use profiling in combination with automated decision-making.

Article 4. Security of personal data

CruiseLegend takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent loss or unlawful processing. Measures that are applied as much as possible in this context include the encryption of documents and personal data and treating the personal data as confidential.

Article 5. Retention period

CruiseLegend does not store your personal data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. Financial and related data are kept for 7 (seven) years in accordance with the fiscal retention obligation. For other categories of personal data, we apply a retention period of 1 (one) year after the end of the agreement.

If there are legal or agreed terms that differ, the longest retention period will be applied.

Article 6. Transfer of personal data to third parties

6.1 CruiseLegend does not sell your data to third parties and only provides them if necessary for the execution of our agreement with you, to comply with a legal obligation, or, in an exceptional case, to effectuate the collection of outstanding receivables.

6.2 Web hosting of CruiseLegend is done by [host] with a high level of security and confidentiality of your data (see Privacy Statement > link to the respective privacy statement).

Article 7. Rights of data subjects

7.1 If we process your personal data, you have the right:
a) to access the personal data CruiseLegend processes about you.

b) under certain circumstances to have the personal data that CruiseLegend processes about you deleted.
c) to rectification and supplementation of your personal data.
d) to data portability (meaning you can have your personal data processed by CruiseLegend transferred to another party).
e) to restriction of processing: the right to have less data processed.
f) to object to data processing.

7.2 For rights as referred to in article 7.1 sub b) and sub e) and sub f), it is always the case that we will honor your request if the data processing is intended to inform you about services and products of CruiseLegend. If you object to other forms of processing, we will make an individual assessment for each request whether your objection can be accommodated and make this decision known to you in a motivated manner.

8.1 If you have questions or complaints about this privacy statement or requests regarding the exercise of one of the rights mentioned under article 7, you can contact the Data Protection Officer via the email address below.

8.2 Based on privacy laws and regulations, you can also submit tips or complaints to the Dutch national supervisory authority, the 'Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens'. You can find the contact details on the website of the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
