Now several more sailings are axed due to ongoing construction delays from the Fincantieri shipyard.

A letter to booked guests says, “We have been informed by the shipyard that Allura’s delivery will be delayed. As a result, we will need to cancel her scheduled sailings in June and July of next year.”

What Oceania Allura sailings have been canceled?

The canceled itineraries include 2025 sailings:

DATE

STATUS

May 2025

CANCELED

June 8, 2025

CANCELED

June 18, 2025

CANCELED

June 15, 2025

CANCELED

June 25, 2025

CANCELED

July 7, 2025

CANCELED

July 17, 2025

CANCELED

July 25, 2025

SCHEDULED

Initially, these voyages would sail to destinations like Turkey, Greece, Spain, Italy, Egypt, and Malta.

Allura’s maiden voyage has been moved to July 24, 2025. The cruise line assured passengers they would automatically receive full refunds and “a special rebook offer on a future sailing.”

The same email encouraged the affected guests to book a cruise on the new maiden voyage, offering them early access ahead of the February 12 date when it would open to the public. Allura’s revised maiden voyage will sail from Athens, Greece, to Monte Carlo, Monaco, over 12 days.

The cruise line added that there may be further changes to Allura’s schedule.

Oceania’s Allura Class

As Oceania Cruises’ eighth vessel and second Allura-class ship after Vista, Allura will be 790 feet long, 68,000 tons, and capable of accommodating 1,200 passengers and 800 crew members. It promises ultra-luxurious amenities, with spacious staterooms up to 291 square feet.

The first ship, Vista, which kicked off the Allura class was floated out in 2022 and launched last year.

Princess Cruises issued a similar announcement a few weeks ago that its new ship, the Sun Princess, would also be delayed.

Supply chain issues have plagued shipyards across the globe since the pandemic.
