The cruise line’s newest ship, Brilliant Lady, will offer seven- to 12-night cruises from Vancouver and Seattle from May to September 2026. These voyages will transport guests to the beautiful, untouched regions of Alaska and Canada.

One of the many options is the May 21 to 28 sailing, dubbed the “MerMaiden voyage.” After departing from Seattle, the 2023-built Brilliant Lady will proceed to Ketchikan and Sitka, renowned for their natural beauty, outdoor recreation, and diverse wildlife.

Passengers can then indulge in spectacular views of the Tracy Arm Fjord as the ship makes its way to Prince Rupert, a coastal town with modern amenities in British Columbia. The ship will then return to the Emerald City, concluding its seven-night journey.

A vast glacier extends across the foreground, meeting a tranquil body of water. Snowy mountains rise in the background under a partly cloudy sky. On the right, a green forested area contrasts with the icy landscape.

Guests can catch glimpses of humpback whales, seals, bald eagles, and more while fishing for salmon, traversing glaciers, attending lumberjack shows, and dog sledding—activities offered through shore excursions.

The May to September Alaska cruise season is also the peak season for spotting orcas, the largest dolphin family members known to reach lengths of up to 27 feet.

Even if passengers don’t disembark, the vessel has areas where they can comfortably keep watch for marine wildlife.

Cruisers can take in the sights from their balconies’ handwoven hammocks (86% of Brilliant Lady’s staterooms have balconies), the food hall’s floor-to-ceiling windows, the cozy daybeds at The Dock and The Athletic Club, and the suspended running track known as The Runway.

Fresh, locally sourced seafood will complete the experience, giving guests a full taste of the Last Frontier.

Virgin Voyages pass holders can book slots starting this Thursday, October 31. Tickets will become available for everyone else on November 13.

Brilliant Lady will be the cruise line’s fourth vessel. Due to construction-related challenges, Virgin Voyages moved its launch from December 2023 to September 2025.

The news comes after MSC Cruises announced its Alaska debut in 2026.
