The float-out, which marks the official completion of the ship’s hull, was celebrated with fireworks, cheers from onlookers, and appearances by Captain Minnie and Captain Mickey.

The vessel is now docked at a nearby pier where crews will spend the coming months outfitting the interior and upper decks.
The next installations include the ship’s iconic red funnels and yellow lifeboats, top-deck features like Marvel Landing’s Groot Galaxy Spin, and the line’s first roller coaster, Ironcycle Test Run.
Local leaders, including Wismar’s mayor and the State Premier of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, attended the float-out, calling it a proud moment for the city, which has been closely tracking the ship’s progress.

The event lasted around 90 minutes as tugs maneuvered the ship into position for the next construction phase.
Disney Adventure, originally under construction for Dream Cruises before being acquired and modified by Disney following the Genting Group bankruptcy, will be the first Disney ship based in Asia.
The vessel is scheduled to debut from Marina Bay in Singapore on December 15, 2025, offering three—and four-night cruises to nowhere. It’s one of seven new builds planned for Disney Cruise Line, including a future ship set to sail from Japan.

Before delivery later this year, Disney Adventure will undergo sea trials in the Baltic Sea to test navigation, propulsion, safety systems, and more.
With a gross tonnage of 208,000, Disney Adventure will be the largest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. It’s designed to carry around 6,700 guests at full capacity, along with approximately 2,500 crew members.
